our story
In 2016 during September holidays my son was at the play area at the V&A Waterfront. As I was watching him this lady face painting caught my eye. I was amazed of the smooth coverage the face paint was applied compared to the usual craft paints that I used to dabble with. My curiosity led me to have a chat with her. Her name was Noeleen Pinto. She was open to sharing knowledge and information on the paints and the industry which was refreshing and this sparked the birth of Avantgarde Creations. Till today Noeleen and myself collaborate often on various events. Face and body art is the medium of human connection. My desire is for art helping people connect to the magic inside themselves. Children naturally live in that magical world. Just ask how they would like to have their face painted, and they always know. As we age, outside expectations and self-doubt cloud that connection with our inner selves. I want to facilitate the rebirth of that connection with every brushstroke. I believe in magic. Face painting is truly a magical art form and it is an honour and privilege to have painted thousands of children and adults over the last few years, creating indelible memories with temporary paint.
